Cabling Installation & Maintenance（布线安装与维护）的姊妹网站LightwaveLightwave（光波）正在组织一个为期三天的会议和展览，集中于多种网络环境中的光学创新。该光波光创新峰会将2014年7月14～16日在德克萨斯州奥斯汀的奥斯汀文艺复兴酒店举行。
将于7月15日和16日举行该会议，会议包括两条轨道：企业/数据中心创新轨道和运营商创新轨道。由时间从30分钟到60分钟不等的发言和小组讨论组成，企业/数据中心创新轨道包括“10/40/100GbE迁移：布线的作用”、“局域网中的光学”、“通过光纤管理方面的新设计降低数据中心成本”和“数据中心设计创新”等题目的讨论。运营商创新轨道包括“北美100G光传送网（OTN）交换光网络的水平”、“增加光网络灵活性和效率”、“通往1 Tb/s之路”等。
为了配合为期两天的会议，活动的合作伙伴The Light Brigade将在7月14日提供两个半天的研讨会。一个研讨会将涵盖数据中心和企业网络的光纤技术，另一个研讨会将涵盖运营商网络的新兴技术。
